#5 Body Psychotherapy

I can’t tell you the number of times I have looked back in gratitude for how body psychotherapy has changed my life let alone my practice. It’s a huge resource and in my view, the fastest way to create change in the brain.

The use of the body as a resource in psychotherapy and counseling is greatly underutilized. Yet, it is through the body that we can reap the rewards of emotional stability in both mind and spirit.

“Where are all the body psychotherapists?”

Yes, well that’s a question I’d like to know the answer to. I can tell you this much. Becoming a body psychotherapist will challenge and change the student. To do it well, requires doing one’s own work.

Maybe…just possibly, some therapists don’t want to change. Why would that be? Here’s my take on it.
